FAQs

Are you saying zombies are real?
Not at all. The virus we are studying produces a bizarre combination of catatonia and insuppressible rage which results in behavior that is eerily similar to that popularized by “zombies” in popular culture. While it is a bit unscientific we believe leveraging this easily understood concept will help us reach and educate a larger audience.

Is there a cure?
Our team of over forty scientists and physicians is working around the clock but at this time there is no cure.

How do I know if I have the virus?
The virus has not been observed in the wild since it was discovered in 2001. The remote location of the initial outbreak, and the fact that all inhabitants of the village died as a result, likely prevented further spread.

Are we safe?
The answer is complicated. Our research team has discovered several characteristics of the virus which seem to indicate that it is an engineered pathogen that may be programmatically mutating. Our primary concern is that the current H1N1 pandemic is but a cycle in this mutation. If the virus is in fact human-engineered, and this connection is proven, this could indicate that the virus is in fact widely dispersed and 12-24 months from it’s final goal mutation.

What can I do?
We are encouraging awareness and preparedness. We, and others, are working diligently to combat this pathogen. We strongly encourage you to follow the instructions given to you by your political and public health officials concerning the current H1N1 pandemic. Further spread of the H1N1 virus only increases the mutation rate.

While you’re ensuring your own preparedness we hope you’ll take the time to tell your friends, family, and neighbors about our efforts. Mention us on Twitter, tell your friends on Facebook, and spread the word by displaying the ZombieTruth.com flyer.

Where is your lab?
The lab’s location will remain undisclosed to the general public due to the exceptional security precautions necessary when working pathogens of this order.

Is your lab safe? Can the virus escape?
Our laboratory is a completely secure BSL4 facility. Additionally, in 2008, the research team agreed to take the unprecedented step of committing to living at the facility indefinitely. This step was taken to ensure public safety and the safety of our staff. This decision was made possible thanks to a generous grant by the KRF Group.
